~Cardiovascular Diseases Care~
(English Version)
According to the WHO fact sheet of Cardiovascular Diseases (CVDs), CVDs
are the top cause of death globally, taking an estimated 17.9 million lives
each year. Of these deaths, 85% are due to heart attack and stroke in 2016. And
over three-quarters of CVD deaths take place in low- and middle-income
countries. However, most cardiovascular diseases can be prevented by addressing
behavioral risk factors such as tobacco use, unhealthy diet and obesity,
physical inactivity, and harmful alcohol use using population-wide strategies.
